My Name real is Joe DiGiacomo though My Artist Name is Giac Oh! MO. I was an art major in High School and at College. Art has always been my true passion. I was told by all who have taught me art that I had natural use of space and gifted with color. After leaving college, I got a real job and realized I had another talent I knew how run a business. I worked in the window business for almost 10 years which I hated, I decided to go into a business for myself "the video music biz". Video CD Encounter was business I had passion for and I was very successful having 3 stores in New Jersey ( Clinton, Whitehouse and Branchburg ). After getting a divorce and buying a house in Califon, I had no furniture, but the people who sold the house left me a lot of furniture which I really didn’t like. I decided to make it hip, even though I have picking a paint brush in over 10 years. Funny it came right back to me. The stress of my business began to get me, it wasn't as fun anymore. It also seemed the more I would make, the more everyone wanted. I became unhappy, so I gave it all up, sold my house, my business and finally dedicate myself to my true passion ART. I have been doing Furni-Art now for almost a year, I can see I am getting better and better. I love creating new objects, new textures, going to the next level. Every piece I created is really unique, from a small little box to huge dresser. I have been told by people who have seen and bought my work that I am truly gifted and I have made some amazing work. Many of my items that are not even finished, people have purchased them before I could photograph them. My style, after listening to people, is mix of Marc Chagall, Dali and Peter Max. To truly appreciate my art, one can not appreciate it though pictures, as one must see or feel the textures, see the layers and the details that you can never get from a photo. I feel my art is to used and it should interact with you. Each piece of art that I created is like a friend or a child in which I don't want to give up
